Welcome to the Compassionate Friends of ACT and Queanbeyan, especially to those who are newly bereaved.
TCF is a worldwide family of bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents, offering friendship and understanding to each other. We offer support in the trauma and grief that follow the death of a child.
Our hope is that the anguish and desolation following the death of a child will gradually soften; a deep sadness may remain, but somehow an engagement with life will re-emerge. There may be no recipes for this to happen, but within our group we can share ideas that have worked for us.
We welcome you to The Compassionate Friends.
This website brings together information about our support meetings and social events, the resources available, our memorial ceremonies, the quarterly newsletter and our contact details which we hope may encourage you to come along to one of our sharing meetings or other activities.
Evening sharing meetings are held at the Grant Cameron Community Centre, 27 Mulley St, Holder, on the first Tuesday of the month at 7 pm.
We need not walk alone
This is our motto; please remember this and contact us if you feel that we can help you in any way.
Our thanks to ACTTAB for their assistance with this website.
